PET DAY

On Thur sday, May 12th, we will be having a Kindergarten Pet Day from 9:00-10:00 for the morning class and 1:00-2:00 for the afternoon class. Pets need to be child friendly and accompanied by an adult. If your child does not have a real pet, have them bring a stuffed pet or picture of the pet they would like to have.

FIELD TRIP

On Monday, May 16th the A.M. class and Tuesday, May 17th the P.M. class will be taking their all day field trip to the Boise Botanical Gardens and Water Shed.  On your child's day they will attend school for 8:10 - 2:45. 

     Things to bring:

*sack lunch                             

*extra water bottle             

*jacket or sweater

*sun screen

*umbrella (if it looks like rain)

There is no charge for kindergarten students.  The cost for all others attending is $2.  When paying at the Botanical Garden, tell them that you are with the Middleton Kindergarten so you get our rate.  

RODEO

The annual Kindergarten Rodeo is quickly approaching!  (Wednesday, April 20)  Your child needs to bring their stick horse to school on MONDAY, APRIL 11TH so we can practice our events.  If you, your child, a family member or a friend play the guitar, violin, square dance, line dance or rope and would like to showcase that talent at the rodeo please let me know.   Also, if you know of someone that would like to trailer a horse to school sometime in the next two weeks and give a short horse clinic, we would really enjoy it.  Our class is in need of a saddle and bridle so the children can role play riding a horse. 

IRI READING TEST

The spring IRI reading test will be given soon.  Please make sure you are practicing timed letter naming and timed letter sounds every night. Thank you for all of your hard work in getting your child ready  to take this important test.

BIRTHDAYS

Every child loves to celebrate their birthday and some of the children with summer birthdays have been asking when they get to celebrate their special day.  If your child has a summer birthday, please give me a call so we can set a date for their pretend birthday.

PIZZA HUT BOOK IT PROGRAM

 

We have come to the end of the BOOK IT PROGRAM.  Thank you to all that read to their child every night .  Please return the March calendar so your child can bring home their last pizza coupon.

REPORT CARDS AND PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

                                                                                

Once again it’s almost time for Parent Teacher conferences.  Conferences will be held on the evenings of April 5th and 6th.   I would love to talk to each and every one of you about the wonderful progress your child has made this year.  However,  there will not be enough conference times for me to meet with all of you.  Report cards and conference notes will be going home next week.  If you do not receive a conference note, and would like to talk with me, I will be glad to find a time and day that we can talk.
